IMCD Acquires Leading Indonesia Food Ingredients Distributor Alam Subur
Under this deal, IMCD will also acquire Alam Subur’s affiliated company PT Sapta Permata at Surabaya, Indonesia. As soon as all necessary approvals have been obtained, the transaction will close and all businesses of Alam Subur and Sapta Permata will come under PT IMCD Indonesia.
29 Oct 2012 --- IMCD Group, a leading speciality chemicals and food ingredients company, has signed an agreement to acquire all activities of PT Alam Subur Tirta Kencana, a Jakarta-based leading food ingredients distributor. With this acquisition Rotterdam-based IMCD Group also makes its entry into Southeast Asia’s largest economy.
Under this deal, IMCD will also acquire Alam Subur’s affiliated company PT Sapta Permata at Surabaya, Indonesia. As soon as all necessary approvals have been obtained, the transaction will close and all businesses of Alam Subur and Sapta Permata will come under PT IMCD Indonesia.

With offices and warehouses in Jakarta, Alam Subur is a leading distributor and supplier for food and beverage ingredients. It also supplies nutraceutical & pharmaceutical ingredients. Founded in 1999, the company currently employs about 100 employees, comprised of sales and marketing, technical and administration team. Sapta Permata was founded in 2002 and has 20 employees.

Business partners of Alam Subur have been notified of the change and IMCD will ensure smooth business transition with no disturbance to Alam Subur’s current activities. All employees of Alam Subur will transfer to IMCD. Mr Utama will continue to lead IMCD Indonesia.
