Half Acre Beer Launches in Southern Illinois
09 Feb 2016 --- Koerner Distributor President and Chief Executive Officer, Paul Koerner, announces that his organization will begin distribution of the highly acclaimed and anticipated Half Acre Beer Company in their 52 county territory in Central and Southern Illinois.
Koerner will launch their lower 47 counties on Monday February 15th, encompassing cities such as Effingham, Mattoon, Charleston, Carbondale, and the Saint Louis Metro East. The remaining five counties in the Champaign-Urbana area will launch Monday March 7th.
The brand is led by flagships such as Daisy Cutter Pale Ale, Pony Pilsner, Lead Feather Black Ale, and the current IPA seasonal Gone Away IPA. Half Acre comes to market in 4pk 16oz cans as well as draft. Limited quantities of their specialty beers will be available for the launch, namely Big Hugs Coffee Imperial Stout, Chocolate Camaro, and Double Daisy Cutter.

As part of the two phased launch, several events will be held throughout the state. Launch locations include, Global Brew Edwardsville, Global Brew O’Fallon, Elijah P’s in Alton, Pinch Penny Pub and Hangar 9 in Carbondale, Crane Alley, Blind Pig, The Accord, and Watson’s Shack and Rail of the Champaign area will all be a large part of the launch.
