Guillin Group Acquires Sharp Interpack
The combination of Groupe Guillin’s expertise alongside Sharp Interpack’s UK market experience allows Guillin to strengthen its leading position on the European market for fruit and vegetables.
19 Apr 2010 --- With three industrial sites Aylesham, Bridgwater and Yate, Sharp Interpack is forecast to turnover £86 Million in the 2009/2010 financial year.
Sharp Interpack is a leading manufacturer and distributor ofthermoformed rigid plastic packaging for food in the United Kingdom.
Sharp Interpack has a wide range of products for the food industry, in particular for producers and packers of fruit and vegetables, processors of meat and fish, supermarkets, shops and users of bespoke packaging.
The combination of Groupe Guillin’s expertise alongside Sharp Interpack’s UK market experience allows Guillin to strengthen its leading position on the European market for fruit and vegetables, and expand its strategic position in the industry and develop new industrial and commercial relationships for meat products.
This acquisition will allow Groupe Guillin to perform more than 60 % of its business outside France.
The accounts for Sharp Interpack for 2009/2010 were closed on 31st March and Groupe Guillin is not able to communicate the results.
However, the consolidation of accounts for Sharp Interpack will make a positive contribution both in terms of operating profit as the Net Income and Cash Flow for group accounts.
