GNT Group, Leading Provider of Coloring Foods, Launch New Micronized Powders
12 Jul 2016 --- The GNT Group have today announced the launch of a new micronized powder range based exclusively on colouring foods under its EXBERRY brand.
The new product range claims to give vibrant and natural colors to products such as instant beverages, sweet and savoury snacks, pressed tablets and seasonings, as well as chocolate and compound coatings.
The new micronized powders are available in yellow, red, pink, purple and blue, and can be mixed to a wide spectrum of color shades. The company claims they can produce more aesthetically pleasing products, especially in foods where smooth and consistent colors have previously been difficult to achieve with traditional Color Foods.
Guido de Jager, Marketing Manager at GNT told FoodIngredientsFirst: “Our new line is the first micronized powders range on the market exclusively based on fruit and vegetables concentrates. It gives manufacturers who require micronized powders to color their food and beverages the opportunity to switch to Coloring Foods and thus offer their clients future-proof products that are free from additives and E numbers.”
The brand new food coloring technology from GNT is created using only fruit, vegetables and edible plants like radishes, purple potatoes, black carrots, safflower and spirulina, and is free from artificial additives, chemicals and organic solvents. All EXBERRY Coloring Foods are processed using only water and gentle physical methods such as pressing, chopping and filtering.
Guido de Jager explains: “In a global consumer survey we found out that natural ingredients play a significant role in the purchasing decisions of consumers. People worldwide are especially sceptical towards additive colorants and want them to be replaced by truly natural solutions,”
The fact that GNT’S micronized powders are made from foods and not additives means they can be declared on the ingredient list as Coloring Foods. This is a trend that Guido de Jager thinks will show dynamic growth in the future, becoming a more important purchase consideration for consumers.
De Jager says: “Due to current developments of consumer demands and the trend towards naturalness, more and more manufacturers are switching to Coloring Foods, and our EXBERRY Coloring Foods can provide food and beverage manufacturers with a major edge over their competitors as they perfectly meet consumer expectations.
