GNT to showcase plant-based Exberry colors at Drinktec 2025
GNT will highlight the use of its plant-based Exberry colors in beverage applications at Drinktec 2025 in Munich (September 15–19).
The company will present concepts including energy drinks, beer-based beverages and ciders in shades ranging from blue to orange and brown. Exberry colors are made from non-GMO fruits, vegetables and plants, designed to provide a full spectrum of shades while aligning with demand for clean-label ingredients.
A focus at the show will be GNT’s patented Blue for Beverages technology, which allows manufacturers to replace the synthetic dye Brilliant Blue FCF (E133). The system uses spirulina to create blue hues in drinks such as sports and energy beverages, carbonated soft drinks, juice blends, enhanced waters and alcoholic options below 20% ABV.
The company will also feature Exberry Shade Autumn Brown and Exberry Shade Golden Brown, concentrates based on caramelized sugar syrup. These provide an alternative to caramel colors (E150) and are stable in acidic beverages with pH levels below 3.0 without sediment or turbidity. They can be applied in natural colas, energy drinks and iced lattes to deliver reddish-brown and caramel-brown tones.

“Color plays a huge role in boosting beverages’ appeal and setting flavor expectations,” says Sarah Ringkamp, key account manager at GNT Group. “At the same time, natural ingredient declarations are more important than ever. Our experts will be available throughout the show to provide advice on how our solutions can be used to achieve vibrant, stable shades across different applications.”
