Full Tank Foods and Restaurateur Tom Douglas Collaborate to Develop New Product for Babies and School Children
As an effort to provide a healthful and delicious alternative, the collaboration will launch in fall of 2007 as Full Tank and Douglas team up to provide signature dishes for lunch programs in several Seattle-area schools.
08/03/07 Focused on producing the freshest and healthiest flavor combinations for kids and babies, Full Tank Foods is excited to announce a future collaboration with someone equally committed to quality, Tom Douglas, chef and restaurateur. After discussing opportunities to work together and ways to give back to local communities, Full Tank and Douglas will work together to develop a line of baby foods and a school lunch program featuring local and seasonal ingredients. Partial proceeds from the sale of both the baby food line and the school program will go to a local charity.
Nutritional and flavorful lunch options are not synonymous with school lunches. As an effort to provide a healthful and delicious alternative, the collaboration will launch in fall of 2007 as Full Tank and Douglas team up to provide signature dishes for lunch programs in several Seattle-area schools. Currently there are more than 20 schools signed up to work with Full Tank and Douglas.
The recipes and specifics on the entrees are still in the works and will be part of the Full Tank Foods Secret Agent line of entrees for kids as well as baby food and purees under the label, Tom Douglas signature BabyFuel. Featuring Northwest ingredients and whole, organic grains, the meals and flavors will be developed by Douglas and Full Tank over the course of the next few months and will be available wherever Full Tank products are sold.
More on the collaboration and the local beneficiary will be announced closer to the school year. Interested food service companies are encouraged to contact Full Tank Foods to learn more about the program and its availability in other areas.
