Frutarom to Create Future-Proof Spice Refining Facility

29 Apr 2013 --- In order to guarantee long-term capacity and quality, Frutarom Savory Solutions GmbH is making changes to its spice production in Germany. With expansion of its existing production site at Loxstedt-Nesse proving impossible due to its location, the company is expanding production at a nearby site and making further investments in its sales and research and development centre.

“As a company, our main priority is to make sure that we have sufficient capacity to manufacture our products and guarantee their quality in the long term. This will ensure that we are able to continue to deliver products of the high and standardized quality our customers are used to”, comments Nick Russell, Commercial Vice President at Frutarom Savory Solutions.

Since the Frutarom facility in Loxstedt-Nesse is situated next to an area of domestic housing, it has not been possible to expand it. Thus, the company has decided to optimize its production site in Bramstadt and to invest in its facility in Sittensen as well as in its R&D center in Holdorf. The majority of the Loxstedt-Nesse employees will be re-employed at the Sittensen and other sites.

“Our investment in Sittensen will enable us to create one of the most efficient spice refining facilities in Europe – on a par with our facility in Korntal-Münchingen. Additionally, we will invest heavily in our sales and research and development centre. This approach will ensure that our company remains future-oriented and able to provide our customers with tailored solutions whenever they need them”, says Nick Russell.

Building work at Sittensen and Bramsted is planned to start later this year.
