Froots expanding into Ireland
The Irish store’s menu items will range from quick pick-me-up snacks to filling meals, refreshing nutrition-packed smoothies to fresh-squeezed juices.
30/09/05 Froots, the South Florida-based gourmet smoothie chain, is continuing its expansion and will open its first store in Ennis, County Clare, Ireland next month. The Ennis location is expected to be the first of several stores located throughout Ireland.
“We have always planned to aggressively expand the Froots franchise operation, and began earlier this summer with our first store outside of Florida,” said Chris Cavallo, president of Froots. “Europe is a natural market for our restaurants. We have been looking for the right retail group to work with, and found them in Chartered Foods Limited.”
Chartered Foods Limited is the official Froots franchise representative in Ireland. The first Froots store will be located in the heart of the town of Ennis, in County Clare in southwest Ireland, and will be the only specialist smoothie/health food company in town. Ennis is one of the fastest growing towns in Ireland; its population has increased more than 25 percent over the past seven years. As with Froots’ US locations, the Irish store’s menu items will range from quick pick-me-up snacks to filling meals, refreshing nutrition-packed smoothies to fresh-squeezed juices. Froots will also offer breakfast wraps.
