Fortitech Expands Operations in South America
The expansion is part of Fortitech’s global growth initiative to strengthen customer service, client relations and manufacturing/testing capabilities.

Oct 7 2010 --- Fortitech South America, part of the global network of Fortitech, Inc., the world leader in the development and manufacture of custom nutrient premixes for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries has announced plans to double the size of the company’s facility in Campinas, Brazil to 65,000 sq/ft. Scheduled for completion in late 2011, the enlarged facility will enable the company to continue to grow its business in South America, while enhancing and expanding its services. The expansion is part of Fortitech’s global growth initiative to strengthen customer service, client relations and manufacturing/testing capabilities. A key component of this expansion will be the company’s ability to provide finished packaging for powdered products in a variety of forms including sachets, cans, boxes and pouches for the South American market.
“Consumer demand for fortified foods, beverages and pharmaceuticals in the South American marketplace is on the rise,” said Juarez A. Fairon Rech, Director General for Fortitech South America. “The investment we are making will provide our customers with a one-stop-shop for all their fortification and end product packaging needs. This complete service offering is a cost efficient solution to get their products to market faster, without sacrificing quality.”
All custom nutrient premixes will continue to meet the criteria set forth in the Fortitech Quality Standard Seal, which reaffirms the company’s values of leadership, integrity and certification, and ensures that all of our premixes meet or in many cases, exceed industry standards for safety, efficacy, traceability and more. Information on the seal can be found by visiting www.fortitech.com/quality. Fortitech is uniquely positioned as the only global company solely dedicated to the development and creation of custom nutrient premixes over 30,000 to date for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries.
Once completed, the new facility will be the company’s third largest operation worldwide (after corporate headquarters and Asia Pacific) and includes a state-of-the art laboratory for developing and testing premixes as well as a larger manufacturing and distribution center. In addition to increased technical and customer service support, blenders capable of producing over 6,000 metric tons of premixes annually will offer advancements in flexible batch sizes and faster turnaround times.
