Fortitech Europe announces new Financial Controller

14/09/05 Fortitech Europe ApS, part of the global network of manufacturing and distribution companies of Fortitech, Inc., the world leader in the development of custom nutrient premixes, announced the appointment Grant Lawrence as its new European financial controller.

Lawrence will be managing all financial responsibilities including the planning, directing and coordination of the affiliate’s accounting functions plus, preparation of financial business forecasts and the hiring, training and retaining of accounting staff. Reporting to managing director Peter Sørensen, Lawrence will be developing modern IT solutions to improve productivity and also be responsible for human resource functions in conjunction with corporate HR and information technology systems.

With more than 20 years of business and financial management experience, Lawrence most recently served as European financial controller at FMC BioPolymer, an American chemical company that produces ingredients to the food and pharmaceutical industry. Lawrence has a strong background in international business, specifically in the design and development of financial models and strategic planning. He also has professional experience in mechanical engineering and is fluent in both English and Danish.
