Food Valley Undergoes Renaming to Food Valley NL

19 Apr 2013 --- Food Valley is now officially known as Food Valley NL. The new name is claimed to be “a perfect match with the organization’s activities.”

“We have transformed ourselves into a body that mainly advises and supports companies in the Netherlands and abroad. International organizations know they can turn to us for help in finding knowledge and joint venture partners in the Netherlands. Given our national scope and our mission to put the Netherlands on the map as a force for innovation, the name Food Valley NL better reflects our identity and the services we provide,” says Bert Roetert, chairman of the Board of Directors at Food Valley NL.

Since 2004, Food Valley NL has been helping to increase the innovative power of Dutch companies in the agrofood industry by fostering ties and joint ventures between business, knowledge institutions and government.

Food Valley NL helps businesses identify relevant sources of knowledge, support and partnership. For many years, the organization has been building innovation-oriented networks and assembling national and international innovation clusters in which businesses, academic institutions and government agencies participate. Through all this experience, Food Valley has acquired a bird's eye view of developments in the industry and an ability to provide independent advice and fast, reliable, tailor-made services to companies large and small, new and established.

Food Valley NL takes advantage of its base in Wageningen, in close proximity to many national and international food companies, Wageningen UR, NIZO food research, Keygene and many other renowned knowledge institutions, to create fertile ground for further innovation.
