Fi Asia to Mark 20 Years at Bangkok Show, as ASEAN Region Shows New Growth Potential
17 Aug 2015 --- South East Asia’s leading food and natural ingredients event, Food ingredients (Fi) Asia & Natural ingredients (Ni), will take place in less than one month from September 9-11, 2015 in Bangkok, Thailand. This is the premier event in Asia offering food & beverage manufacturers and producers the opportunity to find new suppliers and to source food and natural ingredients.
The ASEAN region currently shows great potential for growth. With a population of 560 million consumers with changing tastes, the region is recognised by the industry and by leading market research firms as one of the major emerging markets for food ingredients and is increasingly influential in the supply of food and beverage ingredients. As well as accounting for 35% of global value added ingredient supply in this category, it is also a melting point of diverse trends and influences.
To leverage this market, Fi Asia will bring together over 15,000 attendees and over 650 local and international exhibitors in Thailand next month. Celebrating its 20th edition this year, Fi Asia has shown an annual growth of 25% over the last 4 years. Companies such as BASF, GNT, Naturex, Synthite and Tate & Lyle return to exhibit year on year and this year’s show will also welcome over 60 new exhibitors such as Loders Croklaan and Cosmic Concord Company Ltd. A new addition to the show is the Ni (Natural ingredients) pavilion, which will showcase suppliers of natural and organic ingredients, a rapidly growing area in the industry.

Fi Asia 2015 offers a great variety of features for visitors, which together offer a world class educational programme. These include new sweeteners, emulsifiers and plant protein products, and will be showcased together alongside 10 top Asian packaging products. Industry experts Nutrimarketing have put together a selection of tours - visitors can take a Guided Innovation Tour or a self-guided Discovery Tour around the show floor and meet exhibitors specialising in key areas. Tour topics include proteins, heart health, mobility and ‘free-from’, all current in today’s industry. The Seminar Theatre onsite will also host an extensive selection of presentations over the 3 show days. Exhibitors will present here on new product launches and on market insights and trends. Seminars to expect include AAK Malaysia’s ‘Market Trends in Chocolate and Bakery’ and Glanbia Nutritionals’ ‘Technical Challenges of Energy and Functional Beverages’.
The international Fi Asia Conference will also be hosted at the show and will address regulations, consumer trends and developments in the ASEAN and wider global market. Five conferences will take place across the 3 days including the Halal International Conference and EAS Strategies Global Conference. Food ingredients Asia 2015 & Natural ingredients will provide many opportunities to food and beverage professionals to get updated on the latest industry insights in Asia and to connect to senior food ingredients professionals.
