ETENIA Wins Food Valley Award
The combination of DSM’s enzyme expertise and AVEBE’s starch knowledge creates new opportunities for the development of innovative creaminess-enhancing products for the food industry.
10 Oct 2009 --- DSM Food Specialties is delighted to announce that AVEBE received the prestigious Food Valley Award for the ETENIA line of starches at this year’s conference.
A new potato-based product range, ETENIA helps food manufacturers meet growing consumer demand for healthy, wellness-oriented, natural and safe foods. ETENIA gives a creamy rich texture to low-fat products such as yoghurt. Its unique gelling properties make it a good alternative for gelatin in wine gums. It also offers manufacturers the first opportunity to use an e-number free, natural texturiser with no taste. ETENIA can also be used in dairy and bakery products such as ice cream, spreads and bakery margarines.
ETENIA has been developed by AVEBE together with DSM Food Specialties. DSM Food Specialties and AVEBE entered into a strategic partnership in 2007. The combination of DSM’s enzyme expertise and AVEBE’s starch knowledge creates new opportunities for the development of innovative creaminess-enhancing products for the food industry, with ETENIA the first result of this partnership.
