Elopak Sells its Shareholding in South Africa
Pure-Pak cartons have been produced by Nampak as licensee in South Africa for more than 40 years and production will continue under a license agreement to supply new and existing customers.
5 Sep 2012 --- Elopak AS has reached an agreement to sell its 50% shareholding in Elopak South Africa (Pty) Ltd. to Nampak Liquid Packaging Division, South Africa.
Elopak South Africa (Pty) Ltd was established in 1999 as a Joint Venture between Nampak Liquid Packaging and Elopak AS. Pure-Pak cartons have been produced by Nampak as licensee in South Africa for more than 40 years and production will continue under a license agreement to supply new and existing customers.
The transaction is subject to approval by the authorities in South Africa, including the Competition Commission. The transaction is expected to be completed within this year.
