Drink Water Not Sugar this Halloween with HINT Purely Refreshing Water

17/10/06 This coming Halloween, while the rest of the world indulges little trick-or-treaters’ candy fantasies, one San Francisco mother-of-four (ages, 7, 5, 4 and 1) is doing things a little bit differently on her block. She’s scaring up HINT -- a purely refreshing water lightly infused with extraordinary natural flavors and nothing else: no sugar, sweeteners, preservatives or anything artificial.

With childhood obesity top of mind these days among the American Heart Association and former President Bill Clinton who have formed an Alliance with some of the nation’s largest snack food manufacturers to make school snacks healthier, HINT founder Kara Goldin has been on a personal crusade to help her own family make healthier food and beverage choices. With HINT, a great tasting, calorie-free water in both kid- and adult-friendly flavors, she’s hoping to influence school lunch programs and other caregivers of children around the country to do the same.

Kara conceived HINT while seeking a beverage that her kids would like more than juice or soda, but that wasn’t laden with sugar or making some dubious functional claim (gives you energy, calms you down, makes you smarter or protects you from disease.) When she couldn’t find what she was looking for, she developed HINT.
