07/02/05 Dean Foods is set to spin off its specialty food groups to shareholders. The new group, which will be led by former Keebler Foods CEO Sam Reed will become a $700 million publicly traded private label company. News of the move at the dairy processor and beverage maker sent shares rising by 6 percent. The spin-off is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2005.
