D.D. Williamson Announces Several European Appointments
Barry Foley has been promoted from Technical Services Manager, Europe to the new position of Application Technologist in Science and Innovation.
1/19/2011 --- D.D. Williamson Europe has announced the promotion of Barry Foley from Technical Services Manager, Europe to the new position of Application Technologist in Science and Innovation. Also in Cork, Ireland the company names David Lawlor as Quality Assurance Manager. D.D. Williamson (UK) Ltd. in Manchester has announced the hiring of Steven Critchley as Plant Manager and Maryam Nobari as Quality Assurance Manager.
“Barry Foley is a terrific asset for our Global Science and Innovation Team,” said Margaret Lawson, Vice President. “He provides a food science background with a strong understanding of natural colour applications.”
Currently serving as President of the European Technical Caramel Association (EUTECA), Barry Foley joined D.D. Williamson as Technical Manager in 2006. He earned a BS in Food Science from University College, Cork, and a Certificate in Management from the University of Limerick.
David Lawlor has a strong scientific and managerial background. He earned a BS in Food Science from the University College, Cork, and a Certificate in Basic Food Hygiene. David is certified as a Trainer in Food Safety & Hygiene, as an HACCP & Food Safety Auditor, as a Lead Auditor ISO 9001/2001, and as a BRC third party auditor.
Steven Critchly earned a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Leeds and comes to D.D. Williamson with thirteen years of technical and engineering experience in management. Steve works closely with Maryam Nobari, who earned a MS in Food Safety & Control from the London South Bank University and a BS in Agriculture Engineering-Food Science and Technology from Azad University – Science and Research Branch in Tehran, Iran.
