Danisco reports improved organic growth

All Ingredients and Sweetener businesses except flavours performed to expectations in Q3.

17/03/05 Danisco has reported that organic growth in Ingredients and Sweeteners improved to 5% in Q3. The growth was in line with expectations and brings the first nine months to 2%. All Ingredients and Sweetener businesses except flavours performed to expectations in Q3. Sales in Sugar reached last year's level as a result of increased exports of quota sugar in Q3.

The company reported that EBIT was up 16% to DKK 1,522 million (DKK 1,312 million). Outlook for 2004/05 is that sales are now expected to be in the range of DKK 17.7-18.2 billion against previously DKK 17.6-18.6 billion (DKK 16.4 billion). Consolidated EBIT before special items and share-based payments is now expected to be in the range of DKK 2,250-2,300 million (DKK 2,138 million) against previously DKK 2,250-2,350 million.
