23 May 2022 --- Researchers have managed to sequence the entire genome of oats – signaling opportunities for breeding new varieties that are drought and heat resistant, as well as high yielding. This new discovery is anticipated to lead to healthier finished products, such as foods with a doubled beta-glucans, protein or antioxidants content.
