Compass Foods Launches New Emulsifier
This tasteless and odorless food grade product is the most water-soluble emulsifier commercially produced and is a new and unique tool for developers working to solubilize flavor oils, natural colors, and nutraceuticals ingredients into clear beverages.
3/11/2011 --- Compass Foods Pte Ltd has announced the global availability of its Habo Monoester P90 sucrose monoester emulsifier. This tasteless and odorless food grade product is the most water-soluble emulsifier commercially produced and is a new and unique tool for developers working to solubilize flavor oils, natural colors, and nutraceuticals ingredients into clear beverages. Its regulatory status is approved in a broad range of geography.
Compass Foods began to develop a patented process for P90 production eight years ago and just completed commissioning of a 200 ton / year production plant in Singapore. Utilizing this new emulsifier, the company developed SoluClear, a process and formulation that enables fat soluble materials to be incorporated into clear beverages which can be stable to pH values as low as 2.8.
Bob Comstock, Managing Director for Compass Foods states “Our new P90 emulsifier combined with the SoluClear process allows for the creation of clear beverages with more authentic citrus and mint flavors, water-soluble carotenoid based colors without the use of polysorbates, and fortified with health-enhancing, fat soluble nutraceuticals. With the natural trend continuing to gain momentum, our product and associated technology will assist companies to address the consumer’s demand for more appealing, healthier and better tasting beverages. Our technical team can assist in development of emulsion systems and look forward to the challenges our customers will bring to us.”
Compass Foods is a privately held company engaged in the development and production of sucrose monoester emulsifiers for the food, pharmaceutical, and personal care industries.
