Coca-Cola Considering the Alcohol Market
The softdrink giant is facing stiffer competition and increasing cost of raw materials. The company is actively studying the possibility of mixing its beverages.
29/05/06 Coca-Cola Amatil is not ruling out the possibility of entering the alcoholic beverage market.
"We've never ruled out being in the alcohol business," Chief Executive Terry Davis told Channel 9." Given the strength of our distribution capability, the strength of our sales force capability and new product development, I would think over the next three to five years it is a fairly logical move for us."
Mr. Davis says that the company is closely studying the option but rules out the possibility in the near term.
