Closure Systems International and Pact Group Announce Australasian Partnership
This new strategic partnership will enable our customers to immediately access leading edge global closure technologies, designs, research and development. Consumers and bottlers are continually seeking to use packaging that reduces the environmental impact.
20 May 2010 --- The Pact Group, one of the leading plastic packaging manufacturers in Australasia, is now offering its customers the latest in global closure technology, thanks to a license agreement with one of the world’s largest closure and capping solutions providers, Closure Systems International (CSI) for Australia and New Zealand.
Lachlan Patton, Innovation and Product Development Manager for the Pact Group, states, “This new strategic partnership will enable our customers to immediately access leading edge global closure technologies, designs, research and development. Consumers and bottlers are continually seeking to use packaging that reduces the environmental impact. With CSI as our partner, Pact Group is now better positioned to source and manufacture a wide range of high performance, light-weight closure solutions.”
Other important benefits of the partnership include access to CSI’s global technical service network, high-speed capping machinery products and new product and service developments in all of these fields of expertise. Various operating subsidiaries of the Pact Group will participate in technical information exchange forums with CSI on an ongoing basis which will facilitate the sharing of these developments with all of our Australasian customers.
Patton goes on to say, “The partnership immediately broadens the range of closures that Pact Group can offer our water, carbonated soft drinks (CSD), functional beverage and juice customers. Well known CSI closure products and technologies that will immediately be available to our customers include the increasingly popular ‘mini’ range of short-height closures, next generation tamper evidence, sports caps, warm and hot-fill closure systems and various light-weight closure variants. Many of these new developments have been adopted by major bottlers for their global flagship brands.”
The partnership also provides CSI with an exceptional opportunity for geographic expansion in the region. “We are thrilled to have the Pact Group on board as CSI’s partner in Australia and New Zealand,” said Doug Cohen, General Manager of CSI’s Asia Pacific Region. “We believe that the Pact Group will be the ideal partner in this important region. Pact and its subsidiary companies have an extensive footprint in the region and have a good reputation for providing quality products, new technologies and innovation and good customer service. We look forward to working with the Pact Group and its customers to deliver industry-leading CSI closure and capping technologies to the Australasia market.”
