Cheryl Indelicato Adds Two New Blends to the HandCraft Artisan Collection of Wines
21 Aug 2013 --- Building upon the successful launch of HandCraft Artisan Collection in January 2012 and the burgeoning popularity of blended wines, third generation California vintner Cheryl Indelicato has added two new wines - Inspiration White and Inspiration Red - to the HandCraft Artisan Collection portfolio. Inspiration White and Inspiration Red began shipping nationally this month with a suggested retail price of $12.99.
Inspiration White, a delicate aromatic blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Riesling, Moscato and Pinot Grigio, has lovely hints of bright citrus, honeysuckle and green apple. "It's like sunshine in a glass," says Cheryl. Inspiration Red is a luscious blend of Syrah, Zinfandel, Merlot, Malbec and Sangiovese with rich aromas of spice, blackberry and plum, delicious on its own or with food.
In addition to the Inspiration blends, the HandCraft Artisan Collection includes four single varietal wines – Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah. Cheryl partnered with gifted winemaker Alicia Ysais to craft wines in a style reminiscent of the vineyard-to-barrel field selections enjoyed at her grandparent's table. "When we began working on the wine blends, we found that adding Italian heritage varietals lifted the aromatics and highlighted the fruit. Inspiration Red has a touch of Sangiovese and Inspiration White features Pinot Grigio," explains Cheryl.
Like all of the HandCraft wines, the new Inspiration blends are approachable, easy to enjoy and share with others. "A glass of wine is celebratory whether at the end of a long day at work or a special occasion," says Cheryl. "It's all about making the most of life's moments - big or small. That's inspiration."
As part of her vision for HandCraft, Cheryl created the platform, Inspired 365, to share healthful lifestyle tips and to give back. In 2012, HandCraft donated $100,000 to support breast cancer research, prevention and awareness. Cheryl is also personally involved in a number of initiatives to increase awareness about the disease, a cause she has been passionate about ever since her days as a Registered Nurse. She will continue the fight in 2013 by supporting community based initiatives around breast cancer awareness and aiding those in treatment for breast cancer. As such, she has teamed up with Susan G. Komen 3Day National Spokesperson, Dr Sheri Phillips, and created the HandCraft Heroes campaign on Facebook. This initiative seeks to honor those individuals who share their time, talent, resources, and by their actions, inspire others to seek early detection for breast cancer as well as those who support patients who are ill and undergoing treatment. HandCraft Heroes will run from August 19 through September 30, 2013.
