CB’s Brewing Co. Introduces Vanilla Latte Stout
25 Jan 2013 --- CB’s Brewing Company in a new initiative inspired through their retail team is releasing a new Tasting Room exclusive, CB’s Grande Vanilla Latte Stout. The beer is brewed with a hefty amount of base and heavily roasted malt to which the CB’s brewers added lactose sugar, vanilla beans and 5 lbs. of fresh Ethiopian roasted coffee from Java’s Café in Rochester, NY.
A ceremonious first pour event will be held at 5:30PM Friday February 1, 2013 at CB’s Tasting Room in Honeoye Falls. As part of the special event, goblets will be available for purchase in the tasting room from 5pm – 9pm, as well as pints of the 23 other beers on tap that evening. Visitors to CB’s Tasting Room that night will also have the unique opportunity to sample this limited time beer from a nitrogen stout faucet which makes the beer extra smooth and creamy.
CB’s Grande Vanilla Latte Stout will continue to be available exclusively by Growler purchase at CB’s tasting room as well as by the goblet at the Brewery’s Pint & Goblet Tavern while supplies last. Tasting Room Manager Jason Ellsworth consulted extensively with the staff at Java’s to ensure the coffee used for this wonderful brew would balance the sweet flavor of the malt.
“The beer starts off as a vanilla latte, then morphs into a coffee stout with a little extra sweetness at the end” states Ellsworth. “The beer weighs in at a hefty 8.5% adding a nice warmth.”
