California Company Receives Organic Certification
A news release from the Vina, Calif.-based company says the accomplishment is the culmination of a long-term effort by the company's ranchers to increase the number of certified organic acres available for their grass-fed cattle.
06/11/06 A pasture used by a group of California ranchers has been certified organic.
A group of California grass-fed ranchers who raise cattle for Panorama Meats, Inc. (formerly Western Grasslands, Inc.) has received organic certification for a total of 55,000 acres of privately owned and leased grasslands in Northern California on which to raise Panorama Organic Grass-Fed Beef.
A news release from the Vina, Calif.-based company says the accomplishment is the culmination of a long-term effort by the company's ranchers to increase the number of certified organic acres available for their grass-fed cattle.
The release goes on to say Panorama ranchers' organic pastures and processing plants are certified organic by California Certified Organic Farmers, the USDA-ccredited certifying agency.
