Bumble Bee Foods introduces new Prime Fillet Pink Salmon Steaks

Popular American household brand Bumble Bee has announced its national introduction of Prime Fillet Pink Salmon Steaks aimed at providing consumers with high-quality, affordable and easy-to-prepare seafood entree options.
According to Bumble Bee Chief Executive Officer Christopher Lischewski, the new ready-to-heat salmon steaks are an extension of the brand's successful entry into the 'dinner' category last year with Prime Fillet Albacore Steaks. He said, "We're pleased with how consumers have responded to our first entree product under our premium Prime Fillet label and are thrilled to follow up on the success of that tuna product with a salmon offering."
Bumble Bee Prime Fillet Pink Salmon Steaks come in individual servings of 100 percent natural, grilled and firm whole pink salmon steak packaged in easy-open, vacuum-sealed pouches. The steaks are available in two seasoned varieties -- Teriyaki and Lemon & Dill.
American Heart Association guidelines recommend "eating fish (particularly fatty fish) at least two times a week." AHA cites "mackerel, lake trout, herring, sardines, albacore tuna and salmon" as food sources that are "high in omega-3 fatty acids."
Omega-3 fatty acids have been found to improve heart health, reduce risk of heart disease and hypertension, and aid in mental health.
