2 July 2012 --- The remarkable breadth and depth of Blue Diamond Almonds’ ingredients business is evident in the recent transition of its name from Industrial Products to Blue Diamond Almonds Global Ingredients Division. It is the largest division within Blue Diamond Growers, which is expecting revenues this year to approach $1 billion.
The Global Ingredients Division’s new positioning reflects its sustained double-digit yearly growth as the dominant global almond supplier. The name is indicative of the Division’s customer base of international manufacturers and brands, unrivaled product offering and innovative, value-add services.
A new website, www.bdingredients.com, is an important component of the Division’s enhanced profile. The site offers unique resources for food scientists and R&D professionals. A special feature is the Almond Center, which includes a matrix selection tool matching different forms of almonds to specific end-use applications. The Almond Center is organized by categories: confections, cereal, health and energy bars, bakery, snacks, ice cream, and other products.

Morecraft also noted that the Division is benefiting from significant investments from Blue Diamond Growers, its parent organization, in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Turlock, CA and R&D Innovation Center already under construction in Sacramento, CA. Both are expected to be operational in 2013.
