Blendhub Brings Portable Powder Blending Factory to Mexico
21 Jul 2015 --- The “Food Powder Blends Anywhere” strategy created by Blendhub Corp. has already produced its first success story. The first modular and “Portable Powder Blending” (PPB) unit in the Americas is already working in Mexico City.
Blendhub Corp., a group of companies specializing in the formulation and blending of food powder products which creates solutions, services, and equipment for the agri-food industry, has established the collaboration agreement bases between Treepak and Premium Ingredients Mexico, its subsidiary in this country. This agreement allows both companies to jointly operate the PPB.
To set up a complete “Portable Powder Blending” factory is a big challenge. In this case, the PPB unit was transferred from Spain to Mexico, installed and set up in record time, just four months after the two companies involved signed agreements.
Thanks to the PPB unit, both Premium Ingredients Mexico and Treepak are able now to establish themselves in the Latin American food market, producing high quality and low cost per kilo powder blends with minimal risk.
On one hand, Premium Ingredients Mexico, the installation of a production center in Latin America is a major step forward towards the establishment of the company in the country and in the continent, and the possibility of using local raw materials. This will allow the company to supply its customers in the area with high quality food powder blends, reducing time in logistics processes and shipping costs, as well as import taxes, and other fixed and variable costs.
On the other hand, this agreement allows Treepak to access the agri-food industry, offering formulations at a competitive cost, and guaranteeing maximum food safety to fulfil sector requirements, thanks to the technological support of a company with great experience in the industry as Blendhub Corp.
Furthermore, Blendhub Corp. has trained Treepak’s staff and it has counseled them on food production and quality to ensure that, from now on, they will be able to produce all kinds of food powder blends with total food safety, including liquid injection.
