10 Sep 2015 --- Bell Flavors & Fragrances has extended its line of sodium reduction solutions named ReduxSo, to address the concern for food and beverage products to contain less salt but maintain the taste profile.
Salt has been the most commonly used ingredient for over 8,000 years. It plays a key role in controlling yeast fermentation and improving the gluten structure of baked goods, as well as increasing the water-binding ability and enhancing the flavor of fresh meats. Most importantly, it makes food taste better!
Bell’s flavorists have created a variety of solutions to meet their customer’s sodium reduction needs across a variety of applications. From baked goods to soups to processed meats; with or without potassium chloride; the natural flavors are available in Kosher, Halal, non-GMO, FDA and USDA compliant forms and can easily achieve 35% sodium reduction in finished products.
