BASF Raises Global Prices of Propionic Acid
The major application of propionic acid is feed grain preservation. It is also widely used in the production of pharmaceuticals, crop protection agents, solvents, food preservatives and plastics.
10 Feb 2010 --- Effective immediately, or as existing contracts permit, BASF is raising its prices for propionic acid.
The price change is as follows:
• Europe, Africa, Middle East +EUR (€) 0.10/kg
• The Americas +US$ 0.07/lb
• Asia Pacific +US$ 0.15/kg
