Balsam New Series - "Riga Black Balsam ELEMENT"
A well-known Latvian export product and tourist favorite souvenir of the Latvian "Riga Black Balsam" expands its product series with a new drink - "Riga Black Balsam ELEMENT". Riga chemist Kuntze drink in the 18th century led to the basic recipe, combining the various elements of nature. Three centuries later, JSC "Latvian balm" masters developed the "Riga Black Balsam" version - "ELEMENT", stressing that the core values remain, even in life-changing elements.

"Riga Black Balsam ELEMENT" is the result of the cooperation between JSC "Latvian balm" technologists and marketing professionals. Work on the new drink recipe including the establishment, took more than one and a half years - informed the company's Communication Manager Dana Hassan. Twelve thousand were invested in the development of the new product and brand "ELEMENT".
"Riga Black Balsam ELEMENT" was launched at the end of September. The first batch has produced 30 thousand liter. By the end of the year as a whole it is planned to produce 47 thousand liters of the new drinks, which are planning to sell in local and foreign markets. The new product "Riga Black Balsam" series was created in the light of the global drinks industry trends and changes in consumer tastes. Its composition form the core of the traditional "Riga Black Balsam" with natural herbs and plants tap, supplemented with other original parts. "ELEMENT" In comparison with the classical Balsam, is more complex and time-consuming because of all the ingredients of the drink in mixing it (blended) at the same time, but in two stages. The final "elements" like other balsam products are filled in a clay jug, a balm matures and gets its unique flavor. Labels are used to design the black, red and silver color combination.
'ELEMENT', of the trademark "Riga Black Balsam" series, started back in 1752 and in 2008 "Riga Black Balsam with black currant flavor" was added.
