27/03/08 During a special ceremony at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, PT Frisian Flag Indonesia was honored recently as the best foreign investment company in the category for large scale industries.

The award was handed over by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to the managing director of the company Mr. Cees Ruygrok. The ceremony was also attended by several cabinet ministers and the Dutch ambassador to Indonesia, Dr. Nikolaas van Dam.

Frisian Flag Indonesia is one of the largest foreign affiliates of Royal Friesland Foods and is the market leader in dairy in the country. In two factories located in Jakarta, the company produces a wide assortment of dairy products like sweetened condensed milk, long life ready to drink milk and powdered milk products for adults and children. It is the first time that the prize was awarded and in total 5160 companies were audited by a team of experts, screening the performance of the participants in the fields of corporate governance, consistency of product quality, production facilities, corporate social responsibility programs and environmental care.
