ARCA Concludes Purchase of Coca-Cola Franchise in Argentina
With this acquisition, and in addition to the territory purchased in May 2008, Arca’s sales will represent 24% of the total sales volume of Coca-Cola branded products in Argentina.
30/12/08 Embotelladoras Arca, S.A.B. de C.V., the second-largest Coca-Cola bottler in Mexico and Latin America, announced the successful conclusion of the purchase of a Coca-Cola franchise in the northwestern region of Argentina.
The Bottler operates in the provinces (states) of Catamarca, Jujuy, La Rioja, Salta, Santiago del Estero and Tucuman, serving a population of nearly 5 million. In 2008, the Bottler’s sales volume will amount to approximately 85 million unit cases. With this acquisition, and in addition to the one announced in May 2008, Arca’s sales in that country will reach more than 120 million unit cases, representing 24% of the sales volume of Coca-Cola branded products in Argentina, and serving a population of 9 million people.
