08 Apr 2016 --- American Lecithin Company (ALC) has announced the launch of sunflower-derived lecithins and phospholipids, including phosphatidylserine, phosphatidylcholine and glycerophosphocholine. The products will be available under the company’s ALCOLEC brand of natural emulsifiers.
Randy Zigmont, President of ALC told FoodIngredientsFirst about the market: “Supplement Manufacturers are being driven by consumer demand for soy alternatives and sunflower has a very positive market perception. Growth markets in anti-aging and sports nutrition categories now have the option of offering non-GMO hypoallergenic versions for new existing products.”
