A.M. Todd Launches New Lemon Oil Extenders
The Lemon Oil Extenders are all natural, citrus based systems that have demonstrated the ability to extend the flavor character of lemon oil up to 50% and in certain applications could be a total replacement.
15/07/08 In response to shortages and related price increases for lemon oil, A.M. Todd announces a line of lemon oil extenders to answer industry woes. Raymond J. Hughes, President of A.M. Todd Ingredients & Flavors stated, “Prices have been escalating steadily since 2005, however, this year’s major jump in lemon oil prices is in large part due to poor weather conditions in some major growing regions including California, Spain, Italy, Turkey and Argentina. In many cases yields were significantly reduced.”
A.M. Todd’s lemon oil extenders will allow users to reduce lemon oil in products while maintaining a typical lemon oil flavor profile. These extenders will help address shortage experienced by both consumer packaged goods manufacturers and flavor/ fragrance companies. The Lemon Oil Extenders are all natural, citrus based systems that have demonstrated the ability to extend the flavor character of lemon oil up to 50% and in certain applications could be a total replacement. The Lemon Oil extenders present a potential savings of 20-40% and are immediately available.
“We are happy to utilize our citrus expertise for such an imperative need. With many experts in lemon oil predicting shortages until next fall, we are in a good position to help companies deal with escalating prices of lemon oil by incorporating lemon oil extenders into their formula,” commented Henry W. Todd, Chairman and CEO, A.M. Todd Group, Incorporated.
