Alfa Laval Wins Another SEK 100 Million Cleantech Order for a Biofuel Plant in Vietnam
The plant in Vietnam will produce fuel ethanol from cassava chips. Alfa Laval’s heat exchangers will be used in a starch-based fermentation, distillation and dehydration process of the ethanol plant.
29 Oct 2009 --- Alfa Laval a world leader in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling – has received another order from PetroVietnam Group. The order value is about SEK 100 million and includes equipment and engineering solutions to an ethanol production plant in northern Vietnam. Delivery is scheduled for 2010.

The PetroVietnam plant is part of the biofuel development program, ratified by the Vietnam Government last year, with aim to produce 320 million litres of ethanol and vegetable oil by 2015.
