Ajinomoto announces management update

16/03/05 Ajinomoto Co., Inc. has announced that the proposal of the new president & CEO was approved at a Board of Directors Meeting. Effective the end of June 2005, to approval at Ajinomoto Co., Inc. Ordinary General Shareholder’s Meeting.

Kunio Egashira, the current President & Chief Executive Officer would take over as Chairman, while Norio Yamaguchi, currently Member of the Board & Corporate Vice President, replaces him as new President & Chief Executive Officer.

Kunio Egashira, President & CEO, has served in his current position for 8 years since June 1997.

Ajinomoto will begin its first year of its 2005/2010 mid-long term management plan in April 2005 and begin building the foundation for the next 100 years.
