Drawing on the rich heritage of deZaan and knowledge of cocoa, the new collection includes dark, milk and white couverture chocolates, chocolate batons, pralines, cocoa powders, chocolate chips and cocoa butter.
9 May 2012 --- ADM Cocoa is expanding into the gourmet sector, with a new line of cocoa products specially developed for artisan bakers and chefs. Launching into the Asian market, the deZaan Gourmet collection includes Belgian chocolates, a single-origins range and responsibly sourced cocoa, and has been designed to meet growing consumer demand for high-quality cocoa products.
Drawing on the rich heritage of deZaan and knowledge of cocoa, the new collection includes dark, milk and white couverture chocolates, chocolate batons, pralines, cocoa powders, chocolate chips and cocoa butter.
The different products vary in flavour profile and rheology using different levels of cocoa solids and countries of origin, and can be used by chefs, pastry cooks, bakers, ice cream makers and chocolatiers to create sensational desserts and pastries.
Gloria Martin Gutierrez, marketing manager for ADM Cocoa, said, “The deZaan name has been associated with high-quality cocoa and chocolate for more than 100 years. With the popularity of couverture chocolates growing in Asia, we look forward to drawing on this expertise to create gourmet chocolate products, while remaining committed to providing premium cocoa solutions for new and existing industrial customers. DeZaan Gourmet was created to meet the demands of the growing number of customers seeking to achieve an expert finish for their creations.”
The deZaan Gourmet range contains cocoa that has been responsibly sourced through ADM’s flagship cocoa sustainability programme – Socially and Environmentally Responsible Agricultural Practices (SERAP). This initiative provides training and financial incentives to help cocoa farmers implement sustainable, responsible farming practices.
The new range will be available in the Asia Pacific region.
