Acatris introduces a directly compressible SoyLife
SoyLife DC makes it easier for producers of tablets and capsules to use isoflavones in their formulations as it will eliminate the need for any wet granulation or other compacting steps during processing.
01/02/05 The Netherlands, The Belgian/Dutch company Acatris has introduced a new type of SoyLife to their range of products.
SoyLife DC. SoyLife DC is a soy germ isoflavones extract specially created for direct compression. “SoyLife DC makes it easier for producers of tablets and capsules to use isoflavones in their formulations as it will eliminate the need for any wet granulation or other compacting steps during processing.” explains Liesbeth Neven, Acatris Product Manager. “The new SoyLife DC is also less dusty than powdered extracts and has a higher bulk density,” says Neven. SoyLife DC is currently available in 10% and 40% isoflavone concentrations. As all SoyLife varieties, SoyLife DC products are guaranteed non-GMO.
The SoyLife brand includes a range of ingredients based on soy germ, containing high levels of isoflavones. Since its introduction in 1995, SoyLife has become available in various grades for different applications. The SoyLife products are available in isoflavone concentrations ranging from 2% up to 40%. “SoyLife is used world-wide in foods, beverages, food supplements and cosmetics“says Neven, “Research continues to show that isoflavones are related to a series of health benefits for both men and women. In addition, SoyLife’s efficacy has been confirmed in a large number of proprietary clinical studies.”
