360 Global completes acquisition of Viansa Winery
Pays $31 million for the deal.
14/07/05 360 Global Wine Company has announced the completion of the acquisition of Sonoma County-based Viansa Winery and Italian Marketplace for a purchase price of $31 million. Financing was provided by Laurus Master Fund, Ltd. in the form of a $34.5 million convertible 3-year-term loan with an interest rate of 200 basis points above the prime rate.
Founded in 1989 by Sam and Vicki Sebastiani, Viansa Winery & Italian Marketplace is a destination winery in the Carneros grape-growing region at the entrance to the Sonoma Valley Wine Country. The winery is the premier producer of Italian varietals in the United States, with a 175-acre estate featuring a tile-roofed Tuscan Villa resting on a hilltop surrounded by olive trees and vineyards, and a 90-acre waterfowl preserve. Viansa produces over 55,000 cases of wine annually, with a selection that includes 12 different Italian varietals and 11 California varietals.
