Mane lays foundation for largest ever China investment
30 Nov 2017 --- Mane has laid the foundation for a new production hub in Pinghu, Zhejiang Province of China. This investment reiterates the Company’s commitment to continue investing in high growth markets such as China. The new site will substantially increase Mane’s manufacturing capacity whilst maintaining best-in-class service levels to its customers across Greater China and Korea. With a total investment of US$60 million, it is Mane's largest investment in China to date.
Speaking at the ceremony, President and CEO of the Mane Group, Jean Mane said: “This investment in this key high growth market is another significant milestone in achieving our ambitions. By further building-up our capabilities in China, we confirm our position as a strategic partner to our customers on the mainland. We aim to continue growing with them to anticipate and meet future consumer needs and preferences.”
On a land area of 66,000 square meters, this state-of-the-art compounding facility will have a very high degree of automation and support a wide range of processes, for flavors manufacturing in a first stage. The new production hub is expected to start operations in 2020. Bernard Leynaud, ASIA Region Director of Mane said: “The new complex will cover all key product forms such as food flavors, oral care flavors, seasonings and integrate several forms of encapsulation technologies. After our major investments in China over the past 10 years, we continue our expansion by laying the foundation of this very large facility, demonstrating our long-term commitment in the region. It will support us in continuing to build on the strong partnerships that we have with our customers in the country.”

Mr. Hu Hongtian, Director of Pinghu Economical-Technological development Zone, joined Mane’s CEO, Jean Mane, to unveil the cornerstone at the ceremony.
