Rising applications for Tetra Recart solutions

06 Apr 2018 --- Tetra Recart retort packaging is being expanded into new application areas. Anders Lindgren, Tetra Pak VP for Tetra Recart says: “Tetra Recart is a way to retort a carton. Through the use of polymerized lamination you can put any type of food product that you find in a can today. That means that we have a number of global categories that we are focusing on today. Of course we see many food trends today, which is being driven by both sustainability and e-commerce. So when you take sustainability and look at carton instead of can, you see that carton has a very good LCA from an environmental footprint perspective it has a much lower carbon footprint, the use of renewable resources and it can also be easily recycled.”
