Bringing together three diverse ingredient portfolios
23 Jul 2018 --- Ingredion used IFT 2018 to highlight how Kerr Concentrates (acquired in 2015) as a concentrates and essences producer and hydrocolloids supplier TIC Gums, acquired at the end of 2016, added scope and portfolio synergies. The brands were showcased together in a single booth for the first time this year. John Lazowski, Vice President of Marketing commented on the bringing together of the three portfolios. “Over the last couple of years, since we have been beginning to integrate both, we wanted to highlight how all of these three companies have great solutions that can come together and form even better solutions for our customers,” he says.
Combining consumer trends to create innovative food concepts – Ingredion
07 Dec 2017 --- Ingredion was exhibiting a number of products at FiE this year from functional flours to clean label starches to create clean label products in a variety of concepts by combining the consumer trends in the industry. Ingredion had a food truck on their stand and one of the products on display, was a high-fiber flatbread, with a high protein falafel, combined with a low-fat yogurt, This concept is healthy and answers to the needs of today’s consumer.
A new line of clean label starches
08 Aug 2017 --- At IFT 2017, Ingredion highlighted how authentic ingredients can be brought to life in appealing new ways under the “Clean & Simple” concept. Clean & Simple showcased how manufacturers can bring expected, accepted and authentic ingredients to life in appealing – and simple – new ways with non-GMO sweeteners, texturizers, proteins, fibers, and functional native starches and flours, including the recently launched HOMECRAFT Create multi-functional rice flours in an alfredo sauce and Creole-Caribbean style pork stew. HOMECRAFT Create multi-functional rice flours offer smooth, silky textures, opacity and homemade appeal, without compromising on the process tolerance and stability manufacturers expect from a modified starch. Applications testing has shown that the rice flours can enhance formulations of baby foods, soups and sauces; dairy alternatives; fruit fillings and snack products; and meats, batters and ready meals, while also offering advantages in the preparation of gluten-free and dairy-free recipes.
An Award Winning Pulse Solution
12 Jul 2017 --- Ingredion, in partnership with AGT Foods, received an IFT17 Food Expo Innovation Award for their clean taste pulse ingredients at this year’s IFT Awards Celebration in Las Vegas, Nevada. Judge comments on the clean-taste pulses included, “Flavor of plant proteins is a major hurdle to acceptance; finding a physical treatment to ameliorate the flavor would be welcome,” and “Innovative; problem-solving; clean label; vegan protein.” Yadu Dar Director, Strategic Business Development and Alliance Management at Ingredion spoke to FoodIngredientsFirst at IFT 17.
