Edlong uses both dairy ingredients and non-dairy ingredients to create flavor profiles consumers want. Our concentrated cheese, butter, milk, cream, cultured, sweet dairy and other functional flavors deliver just the right intensity for your application, in a variety of forms and solubilities. With more than 250 authentic dairy-free and vegan flavors across all our flavor categories, Edlong flavors provide masking functionality to overcome bitter, metallic and other off-notes that plant-based ingredients and better-for-you additives can leave behind. When dairy commodities are reduced or eliminated, Edlong flavors can also be used to provide mouthfeel to add back richness and creaminess. The Edlong® Simply Dairy line is all natural and made from real dairy. Replicating dairy flavors for vegan & protein fortified products – Edlong Dairy Technologies

26 Dec 2017 --- Edlong Dairy Technologies works on dairy flavors. “For us, that means flavors that replicate the taste of dairy, so our range doesn’t always contain dairy,” explains Anne-Marie Butler. This is why the company was able to showcase four different demos at FiE 2017, two of which were vegan and the other two were both protein fortified – an indulgent truffle bite and a high-protein savory snack. The company comes at its development from a position of passion; for example, Butler is not vegan herself but loves the innovation associated within the space.
