Global Food Security Index: Singapore claims top spot as US and UK drop to third place

17 Oct 2018 --- The agriculture division of DowDuPont, Corteva Agriscience, and The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) have released the 2018 Global Food Security Index (GFSI) findings which signal a shift toward more resilient food security measures. For the first time, Singapore claims the top spot in the 2018 GFSI ranking, partly because GDP per capita has risen nearly 30 percent since 2012, while the percentage of household expenditure that is spent on food is 6.9 percent.

DuPont launches alternative to ascorbic acid for bakery applications

09 Oct 2018 --- The rising costs of ascorbic acid is prompting many baking industry manufacturers to search for an alternative dough strengthener. Regulatory measures on environmental compliance and control in China have caused ongoing price hikes on ascorbic acid. This poses significant challenges for bakeries to produce high-quality products while maintaining a good profit margin. In response to this, DuPont is enabling bakers to provide cost-effective, high-quality products with the launch of DuPont Danisco GRINDAMYL SUREBake product range.

Clean label hub: DuPont expands ingredient & process development, eyes R&D project growth

30 Aug 2018 --- DuPont Nutrition & Health (DuPont) is expanding its R&D team by creating a “clean label hub” at the Brabrand (Denmark) facility. The hub will feature experts with backgrounds in clean label and sustainability – two fields that often work together and serve related purposes. Working closely with existing teams, the hub will bring products to market quickly and help grow the current project and focus on both ingredient and process development, according to the company.

03 Jun 2013 --- DuPont Nutrition & Health invited visitors to IFFA 2013 to test their senses and experience how the company’s recently expanded portfolio is building new opportunities for the meat industry. Rolling many of the combined portfolio benefits into one, DuPont presented a better-for-you salami concept – an appealing, reduced-fat snack that will please kids and their parents. The formulation contains texturizing SUPRO soya proteins, TEXEL Prism-1 maturation starter culture and the natural antioxidant GUARDIAN Rosemary Extract. A GRINDSTED Meatline emulsifier & stabilizer system enables fat reduction without sensory compromise.
