19 Aug 2015 --- Greenall’s Gin, the world’s fastest growing leading gin, is delighted to announce that the highly respected consumer champion Which? has voted Greenall’s the Best Tasting Gin brand, beating both Gordon’s and Beefeater.
Greenalls’ London Dry Gin was the top scoring branded gin in the Which? Taste Test, with a score of 77%. Gordon’s Special Dry London Gin was ranked ninth with a score of 74%.
Expert taste testers at Which? said: ”The juniper and citrus work nicely together in the Greenall’s.” Another said that with tonic added it was: “nicely balanced, clean, crisp and refreshing, with a pleasantly sharp finish”. The experts were: Ian Wisniewski, spirits writer and consultant; David T Smith, writer, gin specialist and spirits competition judge; Ian Buxton, consultant and author of 101 Gins to Try Before You Die and Neil Ridley, drinks writer and consultant.
Greenall’s is in good company as six of the Top 10 Gins are produced by the same distillers, G&J Distillers in Warrington. Joanne Moore, Master Distiller at G&J says: “What great news to receive today for Greenall’s gin to be voted best branded gin in the Which? blind taste test; a truly wonderful accolade and I am proud to be custodian of the world’s oldest quality gin recipe handed down through seven Master Distillers.”
