Today’s meat industries, conventional and organic production alike, are increasingly seeking more “ready-to-use solutions” that are pre-blended, pre-customized and natural, allowing for removal or reduction of all synthetic ingredients in the final product.
Vitiva, a global provider of natural antioxidation solutions, has created its new SyneROX line to address major challenges in food production and preservation. In addition to oxidation management, the new formulations allow for the reduction in use of, or complete removal of acetates and other synthetic antimicrobial stabilizers. In addition, removal of synthetic vitamin C for maintenance of meat products and its replacement can be achieved by choosing special SyneROX with natural vitamin C sources that allow for clean-label status.
This new generation of products focuses on simultaneously providing a variety of advantages for meat applications such as: antioxidative protection, improved, fresher taste, color enhancement and maintenance, significant reduction in microbial-load and, most importantly, longer shelf life.
“Meat manufacturers will be able to choose among different combinations of natural SyneROX ingredients to answer their specific protection needs and help them target most the critical success factors for their meat products,” says Ohad Cohen, CEO of Vitiva. “In addition, semi-natural and other customized formulations also will be available for companies seeking increased differentiation in this highly competitive marketplace.”
The new SyneROX line can be used for regular and organic meat products, including “natural“ and “bio“, and allows for clean-label application.
