Unbreakable Packages for Wine Bottles
The aim of the package is to offer producers and specialised shops a tool which makes the wine transport by plane easier, so that liquids can be checked-in without any risks of breaking.
07/12/2007 Wines from the Canary Islands (Spain) will be presented in an unbreakable packaging in order to reduce losses.
Pilar Merino, Agriculture, Fishing and Food Spanish councillor, has presented a new homologated package to transport wine from the Canary Islands by plane, in order to reduce the losses of this sector after the European law from November 2006 concerning the transport of liquids in planes.
The aim of the package is to offer producers and specialised shops a tool which makes the wine transport by plane easier, so that liquids can be checked-in without any risks of breaking.
AENA Canary Islands manager stated that, although the packaging looks simple, “Really hard work has been needed to get this product. It has been tested in the airport’s conveyor belts and thrown from ten metres high and did it not break”.
