Tri-Star’s New Platters Serve Up a Stylish Executive Lunch Solution
The launch of the new platters range, exclusively from Tri-Star, has sparked a flurry of interest among major suppliers, with retail bakery giant Greggs and major sandwich supplier Food Partners already having placed orders.
3/16/2011 --- Tri-Star Packaging has launched an innovative new range of platters designed to satisfy growing demand for premium quality solutions in the executive lunch market.
The platters, which have stylish black bases and high clarity dome lids, offer enhanced levels of presentation and functionality in a comprehensive range that satisfies a host of different requirements.
There are four individual products in the new range, all offering suppliers to the lunch market a particularly high degree of flexibility. The options are:
* Double Tent – designed for sandwiches, with compartments for other products such as fruit and cake.
* 4-compartment – created for a mixed platter of four fruits, but can also be used to package a range of alternatives, such as three fruits and a cream pot, or crudités and a dip.
* Bridge Roll – primarily for bridge rolls, but can also house open sandwiches or mini chocolate éclairs.
* Wrap – designed for tortilla wraps cut into half or thirds, but also suitable for mini pork pies, onion bhajis and large profiteroles.
The bases and lids used for all four platters are fully recyclable and manufactured from recycled PET, ensuring they meet exacting environmental standards.

Kevin Curran, managing director of Tri-Star, said: “In the current economic climate, the long expensive restaurant lunch is increasingly being replaced by the more productive, and less pricey, working lunch. This means suppliers are looking for improved ways to present food for the executive lunch market, and our new platters meet that requirement perfectly.”
He added: “The real beauty of our new platters is that not only do they look great and perform brilliantly, but they’re also extremely flexible and enable executive lunch suppliers to mix and match all kinds of products in numerous combinations. No other platters range available today provides such a comprehensive choice of potential applications and we’re delighted to be offering what is a genuinely fresh and unique way to present food in this growing market.”
