28 Aug 2009 --- In the present financial crisis, despite the unprecedented difficulties and challenges, China, as the leading emerging market of the Asia Pacific region and even the world, maintains a fast growth rate. The huge market perspective attracts more and more foreign investment. The food industry, in particular, is not only a battlefield for international tycoons but also a growing future for local Chinese food companies.
Meanwhile, with a new situation of the ever rising cost of raw materials, announcement of new food safety laws and the changing of the consumers’ taste and demands, China’s food industry is facing new challenges. As people get more concerned about food’s functional characteristics due to income increase, the focus of the competition of food industry has shifted to the research and development of technology and innovation.
